Nurofen Junior orange flavour, 6-12 years, 100 ml, Reckitt Benckiser Healthcare

Nurofen Junior Oral Suspension, 6-12 Years Strawberry or Orange Flavoured, is given to children for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever.

• Relieves fever and pain in children
• It has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties that reduce fever and pain in children
• It is accompanied by a graduated, easy-to-handle syringe that facilitates the administration of the medicine
• Orange and strawberry flavour
• It does not contain sugar and colourings
• Administered to children aged 6 to 12 years
• It is issued without a medical prescription.

Composition:

• Each millilitre of oral suspension contains 40 mg of ibuprofen
• Each 5 ml oral suspension contains 200 mg ibuprofen
• Each 2.5 ml oral suspension contains 100 mg ibuprofen
• The ibuprofen content is equivalent to 4% m/v.

How to use:

• Not intended for children under 6 years of age or with a body weight of less than 20 kg
• The recommended daily dose of Nurofen Junior oral suspension, 6-12 years is 20-30 mg ibuprofen/kg administered orally in several doses, at intervals of 6 - 8 hours
• Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Contraindications:

Do not use Nurofen Junior for children for those who are allergic to ibuprofen or other similar painkillers (NSAIDs) or to any of the other ingredients of the medicine.

Precautions:

Before using Nurofen Junior, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you might be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.

Pregnancy:

• Do not use this medicine during the last three months of pregnancy
• Avoid using this medicine during the first 6 months of pregnancy unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

Breast-feeding:

• Only small amounts of ibuprofen and its breakdown products pass into breast milk, but Nurofen Junior can be used during breast-feeding if taken in the recommended doses and for as short a period as possible.

Fertility:

• Nurofen Junior belongs to a group of medicines (NSAIDs) that can affect fertility in women. This effect is reversible when the medicine is stopped.

Driving and using machines:

• This medicine has no or negligible effect on the ability to drive and use machines when used short-term.
