Strepsils Intensiv Honey & Lemon helps to soothe sore throats and inflammation that accompany colds, laryngitis or tonsillitis.

The soothing effect is observed 2 minutes after administration.

Strepsils Intensiv Honey & Lemon starts to work within 2 minutes of administration due to the soothing effect (soothing a sore throat).

Reduction in sore throats has been observed after 15 minutes.

Relief from pain and inflammation is expected to occur within 30 minutes of taking a pill and last up to 4 hours.

Composition:

• The active substance is flurbiprofen
• Each tablet contains 8.75 mg flurbiprofen
• The other ingredients are: macrogol 300, potassium hydroxide, lemon flavour, levomenthol, glucose, sugar and honey.

How to use:

• Always take Strepsils Intensive Honey and Lemon exactly as your doctor has told you
• You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure
• Side effects may be minimised by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest time necessary to control your symptoms
• The duration of treatment should not exceed 3 days
• Adults and children over 12 years: The recommended dose is one Strepsils Intensive Honey and Lemon pill (8.75 mg flurbiprofen) every 3-6 hours (keep the pills in the mouth until they dissolve; do not chew or swallow whole); depending on the severity of your symptoms, the maximum dose is 5 Strepsils Intensive Honey and Lemon pills (43.75 mg flurbiprofen) in 24 hours; the duration of treatment should not exceed 3 days
• Strepsils Intensiv Honey and Lemon is not indicated for children under 12 years of age
• Elderly people: no dose adjustment is necessary in this age group; similar to other pills, to avoid the occurrence of local irritation, the position of Strepsils Intensiv Honey and Lemon in the oral cavity will be constantly changed; if irritation occurs, treatment should be stopped; if you have any further questions about this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Contraindications:

Do not take Strepsils Intensive Honey and Lemon if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to flurbiprofen, other NSAIDs or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.

Precautions:

Before taking Strepsils Intensiv Honey and Lemon, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility:

• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine
• During the first 5 months of pregnancy, NSAIDs can be used for the shortest possible period, on the advice of your doctor, if absolutely necessary
• The use of NSAIDs in the last 4 months of pregnancy can cause premature closure of the ductus arteriosus in the fetus and a persistent increase in pulmonary pressure in the newborn. Therefore, the administration of Strepsils Intensiv Honey and Lemon in the last 4 months of pregnancy is contraindicated
• Flurbiprofen is excreted in breast milk in very low concentrations; as a precaution, it is recommended to avoid administration during breastfeeding
• There is evidence that drugs that inhibit cyclooxygenase/prostaglandin synthesis may affect female fertility through an effect on ovulation
• It is reversible with suspension of treatment.

Driving and using machines:

• Dizziness or visual disturbances may sometimes occur after taking Strepsils Intensiv Honey and Lemon; in this situation, it is not recommended to drive or use machines.
