Paduden oral suspension with apricot flavor 20 mg/ml, 100 ml, Terapia

Paduden is indicated for children aged at least 3 months (weighing more than 5 kg).

Short-term symptomatic treatment of pain and fever of mild to moderate intensity.

Short-term symptomatic treatment of pain and fever associated with the common cold and flu.

Active ingredients:

• This medicine contains ibuprofen
• Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that relieve pain, reduce inflammation and lower your body temperature when you have a fever.

How to use: 

• For infants aged between 3 and 6 months, medical consultation is recommended if symptoms worsen or not later than 24 hours if symptoms persist
• For children over 6 months of age, medical consultation is recommended if this medicine is needed for a period longer than 3 days or if symptoms worsen
• Doses should be administered at 6-8 hour intervals
• An interval of at least 4 hours should be left between doses
• The recommended daily dose is 20 mg/kg, in divided doses
• The interval between doses must be established according to the symptomatology
• The maximum recommended daily dose should not be exceeded
• 3-6 months - 50 mg (2.5 ml) maximum 3 times a day
• 6-12 months - 50 mg (2.5 ml) maximum 3-4 times a day
• 1-3 years - 100 mg (5 ml) maximum 3 times a day
• 4-6 years - 150 mg (7.5 ml) maximum 3 times a day
• 7-9 years - 200 mg (10 ml) maximum 3 times a day
• 10-12 years - 200 mg (10 ml) maximum 4 times a day.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients
• Patients who have previously shown hypersensitivity reactions (eg bronchial asthma, rhinitis, angioedema or urticaria) in response to acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
• Active gastric or duodenal ulcer, or history of recurrent gastrointestinal ulcer/bleeding (two or more distinct episodes of diagnosed ulceration or bleeding).
• History of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation, in association with previous NSAID treatment
• Severe heart failure (NYHA class IV), renal or hepatic failure
• Hemorrhagic diathesis and coagulation disorders
• Significant dehydration (caused by vomiting, diarrhea and insufficient fluid intake). Cerebrovascular hemorrhage or other type of active hemorrhage.
• Children under 3 months of age.
