Enterol 250 mg, 10 sachets, Dr. Reddys

Indications:
Enterol 250 mg is indicated for the treatment of acute infectious diarrhea in adults and children; for the prevention and treatment of colitis and diarrhea caused by antibiotic use; in combination with vancomycin/metronidazole, for the prevention of recurrence of diseases caused by Clostridium difficile; for the prevention of diarrhea caused by enteral nutrition; for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome.

Composition:
The active substance is lyophilized Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745.
The other ingredients are: lactose monohydrate, fructose, colloidal anhydrous silica, artificial 'tutti frutti' flavour.

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is 1-2 Enterol 250 mg sachets, 1-2 times a day.
Pour the contents of the sachet into a little water or sweetened drinks (the sugar must be boiled), mix and drink. The oral powder can also be combined with food or poured into a bottle.

Contraindications:
Do not take Enterol 250 mg: if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine; if you have a central venous catheter; if you have fructose intolerance, glucose and galactose malabsorption syndrome, sucrase deficiency, isomaltase deficiency (due to the fructose content); immunocompromised or hospitalized patients (due to serious illnesses or an altered or weakened immune system).

Precautions:
Before taking Enterol 250 mg, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Treatment with Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 does not replace rehydration, when necessary. The dose of rehydration and the route of administration (oral/intravenous) should be adapted to the severity of the diarrhea, the age and the health status of the patient.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
In animal studies, no teratogenic potential was observed. To date, no fetotoxic or malformative effects have been reported in the clinic. Due to insufficient data, it is recommended to avoid the use of this drug during pregnancy and lactation.

Driving and using machines:
Enterol 250 mg does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.
