What is Duphalac Fruit?

DUPHALAC FRUIT contains a laxative called lactulose. It makes stools softer and easier to pass by drawing water into the bowel. Lactulose is not absorbed into your body.

What is Duphalac Fruit used for?

Duphalac Fruit is used to treat constipation (irregular bowel movements, hard, dry stools) to produce a soft stool. For example:

• if you have hemorrhoids (hemorrhoidal nodules);
• if you have had surgery on your anus or large intestine.

Therapeutic indications

• constipation: regulation of the physiological rhythm of the colon;
• when achieving a soft stool is beneficial for medical reasons (e.g., hemorrhoids, after colon/anal surgery).

Contraindications

• if you suffer from hypersensitivity to lactulose - the active substance that Duphalac Fruit oral solution contains - or to any of the components of the medicine;
• if you have galactosemia;
• if you are experiencing gastrointestinal obstruction or subocclusive syndrome, digestive perforation or risk of digestive perforation, inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease).
