Indications:
Buprofess is used in adults and adolescents weighing more than 40 kg (over 12 years of age) in the short-term symptomatic treatment of:
- mild to moderate pain
- fever
Composition:
- The active substance is ibuprofen.
- Each sachet contains 400 mg of ibuprofen.
- The other ingredients are: dextrose (contains glucose), anhydrous citric acid, acesulfame potassium, glycerol distearate (type I) and lemon flavor (contains natural flavor preparations, flavor substances identical to natural flavors, maltodextrin, alpha tocopherol).
Administration method:
Buprofess 400mg oral powder - the recommended dose is:
-More than 40 kg (adolescents from 12 years and adults) - single dose 400 mg ibuprofen (1 sachet) - Maximum daily dose 1200 mg ibuprofen (3 sachets)
- The interval between doses must be at least 6 hours.
-Do not exceed the recommended dose of 3 Buprofess 400 mg sachets (1200 mg ibuprofen) per day.
-If in the case of adults this medicine is needed for more than 3 days in the case of fever or for more than 4 days in the case of pain treatment, or if the symptoms worsen, you should consult a doctor.
-Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist. - Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Contraindications:
Do not take Buprofess:
- if you are allergic to ibuprofen or any of the other components of this medicine.
Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Buprofess.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Task:
Do not take this medicine during the last 3 months of pregnancy. Avoid taking this medicine if you are in the first 6 months of pregnancy, unless your doctor advises you otherwise.
Breastfeeding:
Only small amounts of ibuprofen and its components pass into breast milk. Because no harmful effects on infants are known to date, it is usually not necessary to discontinue breastfeeding during short-term use of ibuprofen at the recommended doses.
Fertility:
This medicine belongs to a group of medicines (NSAIDs) that can affect fertility in women.
This effect is reversible by stopping the drug.
Driving and using machines:
Adverse effects such as fatigue, visual disturbances and dizziness may occur when Buprofess is administered. As a result, the ability to react may be impaired in individual cases and the ability to actively participate in road traffic and use machines may suffer. This particularity applies in the case of interaction with alcohol. You may no longer be able to react quickly and appropriately to unforeseen and unexpected events. If you are affected,
do not drive your car or other vehicles; do not use machinery or perform dangerous tasks.
