Indications:
Nurofen Junior Oral suspension, 6-12 years with strawberry or orange flavor, is administered to children for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever.
- It relieves fever and pain in children
- It has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties that reduce fever and pain in children
- It is accompanied by a graduated syringe, easy to handle, which facilitates the administration of the medicine
- Aroma of oranges and strawberries
- Does not contain sugar and dyes
- Administered to children aged between 6 and 12 years
- It is issued without a medical prescription.
Composition:
- Each milliliter of oral suspension contains 40 mg of ibuprofen
- Each 5 ml oral suspension contains 200 mg ibuprofen. Each 2.5 ml oral suspension contains ibuprofen 100 mg
- The ibuprofen content is equivalent to 4% m/v.
Administration method:
- It is not intended for children under 6 years of age or with a body weight of less than 20 kg
- The recommended daily dose of Nurofen Junior oral suspension, 6-12 years is 20-30 mg ibuprofen/kg administered orally in several doses, at 6-8 hour intervals
- Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Contraindications:
Do not use Nurofen Junior in children who are allergic to ibuprofen or other similar pain relievers (NSAIDs), or to any of the other components of the medicine.
Precautions:
Before using Nurofen Junior, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Task:
- Do not use this medicine during the last three months of pregnancy. Avoid using this medicine during the first 6 months of pregnancy unless your doctor advises you otherwise.
Breastfeeding:
- Only small amounts of ibuprofen and its breakdown products pass into breast milk, but Nurofen Junior can be used during breastfeeding if it is taken in the recommended doses and for as short a period as possible.
Fertility:
- Nurofen Junior belongs to a group of medicines (NSAIDs) that can affect fertility in women. This effect is reversible upon discontinuation of the drug.
Driving vehicles and using machines:
This medicine has no or negligible effect on the ability to drive and use machines if used in the short term.
