Hirudoid gel 3mg/g, 40 g, Stada

Indications:
HIRUDOID 3 mg/g gel is used for the topical treatment of:
- contusions (traumas) accompanied or not by bruises (hematomas)
- superficial phlebitis (inflammation of the veins) when compression treatment is not possible.

Dosage and method of administration:
The usual dose is:
Apply HIRUDOID 3 mg/g gel to the affected area 2-3 times a day. Depending on the surface of the area to be treated, application of 3-5 cm of gel is generally sufficient.
For cutaneous use.
Apply HIRUDOID 3 mg/g gel evenly to the affected area and massage gently until absorbed into the skin. Use Hirudoid Gel 3mg/g only on undamaged skin; avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes.
As with other gels containing alcohol, you should not cover areas treated with HIRUDOID 3 mg/g gel with bandages.
HIRUDOID 3 mg/g gel is also suitable for physiotherapeutic procedures such as phonophoresis and iontophoresis.
During iontophoresis, HIRUDOID 3 mg/g gel should be applied under the cathode.
You should use HIRUDOID 3 mg/g gel until the symptoms disappear. In the case of contusions, the treatment generally lasts up to 10 days. In the case of superficial phlebitis, the treatment generally lasts 2-3 weeks.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to any of the product components.

Warnings and precautions:
Apply only to intact skin. Avoid contact with mucous membranes, eyes and open wounds.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
To date, experience with the topical use of chondroitin polysulfate - administered dermally to pregnant or breastfeeding women - has not demonstrated any harmful effects on the fetus or
the infant.

Driving and using machines:
No special precautions are necessary.
