Gaviscon strawberry, 24 chewable tablets, Reckitt Benckiser

Indications:
Gaviscon strawberry flavoured chewable tablets belong to a group of medicines called 'reflux suppressants', which form a protective layer over the contents of the stomach that prevents stomach acid from leaving the stomach and entering the esophagus, thus causing the burning sensation and discomfort.
Gaviscon strawberry flavoured chewable tablets are used to treat the symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, such as acid regurgitation, heartburn and indigestion (related to reflux) which may occur, for example, after meals or during pregnancy and in patients with symptoms associated with oesophagitis.

Composition:
Each chewable tablet contains sodium alginate 250 mg, sodium hydrogen carbonate 133.5 mg and calcium carbonate 80 mg as active substances. The other ingredients are mannitol (E421), macrogol 20000, aspartame (E951), strawberry flavour (maltodextrin, modified starch E1450, vegetable oil, propylene glycol E1520), red iron oxide, xylitol, carmellose sodium, magnesium stearate.

Method of administration:
For oral use. Chew well before swallowing.
Adults, including the elderly and children over 12 years of age: when symptoms appear, take two to four tablets after meals and at bedtime.
Children under 12 years of age: should only be administered on medical advice.
If you forget to take a dose, it is not necessary to take a double dose next time, but continue to take your usual dose at the right time.

Contraindications:
Do not take this medicine if:
- you know that you are allergic to any of the ingredients, as breathing difficulties and skin rashes have occurred very rarely.

Precautions:
This medicine contains sodium (10.6 mmol per dose of four tablets) and calcium (3.2 mmol per dose of four tablets).
-If you have been advised to follow a diet restricted in sodium salts or calcium salts, please consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:
You can take this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
