Secondary prevention of myocardial infarction.
Reducing the risk of myocardial infarction in patients with angina pectoris or multiple risk factors, such as: hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, smoking, diabetes mellitus and family history.
For maintaining revascularization after angioplasty and coronary artery bypass grafting (PTCA, CABG).
Secondary prevention of transient ischemic attacks (TIA) and cerebral infarction.
Tablets containing low doses of acetylsalicylic acid are not suitable for use for analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory purposes (these actions occur at higher doses).
Composition:
Each gastro-resistant tablet contains 75 mg acetylsalicylic acid.
Method of administration:
Adults:
- Secondary prevention of myocardial infarction: the recommended dose is 75 mg once daily.
- Prevention of cardiovascular morbidity in patients with stable angina pectoris: the recommended dose is 75 mg once daily.
- Prevention of graft occlusion after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG): the recommended dose is 75 mg once daily
- Secondary prevention of transient ischemic attacks (TIA) and ischemic cerebrovascular accidents (ICA), after the diagnosis of intracerebral hemorrhage has been excluded: the usual dose for long-term use is 75 mg once a day. Higher doses should not be used unless advised by a doctor, and the prescribed dose should not exceed 300 mg per day.
Children and adolescents:
- Administration is not recommended in this age group.
Method of administration:
- The gastro-resistant tablets should be swallowed whole, with sufficient liquid, preferably after a meal.
- Gastro-resistant tablets should not be divided, crushed or chewed.
- The medicine is intended for long-term treatment, with the minimum effective dose.
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1 of the package leaflet.
- History of bronchial asthma induced by administration of salicylates or substances with similar action, especially nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
- Hemorrhagic diathesis, thrombocytopenia, hemophilia
- Active gastric or duodenal ulcer
- Concomitant administration with methotrexate at doses ≥15 mg/week
- The last trimester of pregnancy.
