Antinevralgic Cold and Flu, 12 film-coated tablets, Sanofi

Antinevralgic Cold and Flu effectively relieves many of the symptoms of colds and flu. These symptoms include fever, headache, chills, nasal congestion or obstruction, sinus pain and sore throat, muscle aches and joint pain.

This medicine contains a combination of three active substances. Paracetamol reduces fever and relieves pain, phenylephrine relieves nasal congestion or obstruction and caffeine speeds up the onset of the pain-relieving effect of paracetamol and helps reduce fatigue and drowsiness.

This medicine is indicated for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

Composition:

• The active substances are: paracetamol, caffeine and phenylephrine hydrochloride
• Each tablet contains paracetamol 500 mg, caffeine 25 mg and phenylephrine hydrochloride 5 mg
• The other ingredients are: Core: Povidone K-25, sodium lauryl sulfate, microcrystalline cellulose, maize starch, pregelatinized maize starch, colloidal anhydrous silica, stearic acid, talc. Film-coating: Hypromellose, macrogol, titanium dioxide.

How to use:

• Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure
• Adults and children over 15 years: 1-2 tablets (500 mg–1 g); if necessary, it can be repeated every 4 hours, without exceeding 8 tablets (4 g) for 24 hours in short-term treatment and 2.5 g for 24 hours in long-term treatment
• Children 6-15 years: ½-1 tablet 3-4 times without exceeding 2 g in 24 hours
• Children under 6 years: contraindicated due to the pharmaceutical form

Contraindications:

Do not use Cold and Flu you are allergic to paracetamol, caffeine, phenylephrine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Cold & Flu is not recommended for pregnant and breast-feeding women.

Driving and using machines

• In susceptible individuals, the medicine may cause dizziness; therefore, it may adversely affect activities that require alertness. Do not drive or use machines if this happens to you.
