Troxevasin gel 20 mg, 100 g, Actavis
Chronic venous insufficiency; varicose disease and hemorrhoids; superficial, acute thrombophlebitis and postthrombophlebitic syndrome; postphlebosclerotic pain.

Indications:
Troxevasin, 2% gel, is indicated for local symptomatic treatment in case of: chronic venous insufficiency, varicose disease and hemorrhoids, superficial thrombophlebitis, acute and postthrombophlebitic syndrome, postphlebosclerosis pain.
Ingredients:
100 g of gel contain 2 g of troxerutin and excipients: carbomer 940, disodium edetate, benzalkonium chloride, triethanolamine, purified water.
How to use:
- Troxevasin, 2% gel, is recommended for topical application only.
- The gel is applied in a thin layer to the surfaces affected by varicose veins or hemorrhoids - intact skin, anal mucosa, 2 times/day, morning and evening, massaging gently until completely absorbed.
- The effect of treatment with Troxevasin, 2% gel depends on regular application in appropriate doses and over a long period (2-3 weeks).
Overdose:
No cases of overdose have been reported.
Interactions:
No interactions with other drugs or substances have been found.
Troxevasin, 2% gel, can be administered alone or concomitantly with Troxevasin, capsules.
Adverse reactions:
In rare cases, allergic skin reactions may occur - urticaria, eczema and dermatitis.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to troxerutin or any of the excipients of the product.
Precautions:
Hypersensitivity reactions are more common in patients with skin and/or allergic diseases.
Warnings:
- Troxevasin, 2% gel is applied only to intact skin surfaces. It should not be applied to mucous membranes, open wounds or in the eyes.
- The use of troxerutin in patients with hemorrhoids requires, in advance, a careful proctological diagnosis, to exclude conditions that require other therapeutic interventions.
- In case of hemorrhoidal crisis, the use of troxerutin does not dispense with specific treatment for other anal conditions.
- Treatment with troxerutin should be short-term
- If symptoms do not subside quickly, it is necessary to reconsider the therapeutic approach.
- Pregnancy and lactation: No embryotoxic or teratogenic effects were observed after administration of Troxevasin to pregnant mice and rats. However, the use of the product in the first trimester of pregnancy is not recommended.
- It is also not recommended to be taken during breastfeeding.
- Effects on the ability to drive or use machines: Troxevasin, 2% gel does not influence the ability to drive or use machines.
- Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
- Store below 25°C, in the original packaging.
- Keep out of reach of children.
