Internal antiparasitic for cats Dehinel, 230 mg/20 mg, 2 film-coated tablets, KRKA
Properties:
Treatment of mixed infestations with roundworms, nematodes and cestodes in cats, caused by:
- adult forms of roundworms: Toxocara cati (synonym mystax);
- adult forms of nematodes: Ancylostoma tubaeforme, Ancylostoma braziliense;
- cestodes: Echinococcus multilocularis, Dipylidium caninum, Hydatigera (Taenia) taeniaeformis, Mesocestoides spp., Joyeuxiella pasqualei;
- target species: cats.
How to use:
Doses:
5 mg praziquantel and 20 mg pyrantel base (57.5 mg pyrantel embonate) per kg body weight. Dose
corresponds to 1 tablet per 4 kg of body weight.

Kittens weighing less than 1kg should not be treated with this product as it cannot be done
correct dosage.
Route of administration
Oral administration.
Tablets are administered directly into the oral cavity of the animal, but they can also be administered in
food, if applicable.
Duration of use
Single dose.
In roundworm infestations, especially in kittens, complete eradication of the parasites cannot occur, so a risk of infestation for humans may persist. Therefore, repeated treatments with a suitable product should be carried out at 14-day intervals up to 2-3 weeks after weaning.
Contraindications:
Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients.
Adverse reactions:
In extremely rare cases, mild and transient disturbances of the digestive tract, such as hypersalivation and/or vomiting, and mild and transient neurological disturbances, such as ataxia, may occur.
