Octeangin 2.6 mg pills

2. QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION

Each tablet contains 2.6 mg octenidine dihydrochloride.

Excipient with known effect:
Each tablet contains 2.57 g isomalt.

3. PHARMACEUTICAL FORM

Pill. Round, slightly transparent, yellowish-white pills, approximately 19 mm in diameter.

4. CLINICAL DATA

4.1 Therapeutic indications

For the short-term adjuvant treatment of inflammation of the oral mucosa and throat, with typical symptoms such as: pain, redness and swelling. Octeangin pastile is indicated in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over.

4.2 Dosage and administration

Dosage
Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: one tablet to be slowly dissolved in the mouth, every 2-3 hours. The maximum daily dose is 6 tablets.

Children and adolescents
The safety and efficacy of Octeangin tablets in children aged 0 to 11 years have not yet been established.

Method of administration
Tablets for buccal administration. The tablets should be allowed to dissolve slowly in the mouth.

Octeangin pills should not be used for more than 4 days without the recommendation of a doctor.
