Herbion stone lichen 6 mg, 150 ml, Krka

Herbion stone lichen syrup contains stone lichen extract. It is a herbal medicine: a traditional medicinal product that is used exclusively on the basis of long-term use for:

• dry, irritating cough
• mild inflammation of the upper respiratory tract and irritation of the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat, including hoarseness and sore throat.

Composition:

• The active substance is stone lichen extract 6 mg (Cetraria islandica (L.) Acharius sl, thallus), equivalent to stone lichen moss 96–108 mg
• The other ingredients are: liquid sorbitol (non-crystallising) (E420), xanthan gum, sodium benzoate (E 211), citric acid, lemon flavour (ethyl alcohol)
• Extraction solvent: purified water.

Method of administration:

• Recommended dose for adults and adolescents over 16 years of age: 15 ml syrup, 4 times a day
• Recommended dose for children aged 10 to 16 years: 10 ml syrup 4 times a day
• Recommended dose for children aged 4 to 10 years: 5 ml syrup 4 times a day
• Recommended dose for children aged 1 to 4 years: 2.5 ml syrup 4 times a day
• You should not eat or drink liquids immediately after taking Herbion lichen de lithéra syrup, as the medicine may be removed from the oral and pharyngeal mucosa too early.
• The duration of treatment depends on the cause and severity of the condition and treatment may continue for a longer period of time.
• It is recommended that you take the medicine a few days after the clinical signs of the disease have disappeared.
• The bottle should be shaken well before use.

Contraindications:

Do not use Herbion stone lichen syrup:

• if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:

• if you have difficulty breathing, fever, chronic cough, hoarseness, or bloody sputum, consult your doctor immediately
• If the condition does not improve after 5 days of treatment, contact your doctor.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
• Herbion stone lichen syrup is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding because there is insufficient clinical data on the use of stone lichen in pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.

Driving and using machines:

Herbion stone lichen syrup is known to not affect the ability to drive and use machines.
