Swanson ® Alpha Lipoic Acid is a dietary supplement in the form of capsules containing alpha lipoic acid (ALA). The recommended daily dose of the preparation is 50 mg of valuable active ingredient, enclosed in a gelatin shell, without the addition of dyes, flavors and preservatives.
Lipoic acid is an organic chemical compound from the group of carboxylic acids. It has a chain of eight carbon atoms with two sulfur atoms. R-ALA is classified as a saturated fatty acid.
