Indications:
Strepsils Plus belongs to a group of medicines called antiseptics.
In the symptomatic treatment of bacterial infections occurring in the mucous membrane of the oral cavity and pharynx, including severe sore throat.
Contains 2 antibacterial agents plus a strong local anesthetic
Antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral effect.
Rapid (in 5 minutes) and long-lasting (up to 2 hours) relief of severe sore throat.
Reduces swallowing difficulties.

Contraindications:
Do not use Strepsils Plus:
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substances or to any of the other components of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before using Strepsils Plus, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Although the safety of administering this medication during pregnancy or breastfeeding has not been established, the medication can be administered to pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
Strepsils Plus has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.

Administration method:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Doses:
Side effects can be minimized by using the lowest effective dose necessary to control symptoms, for the shortest possible duration.
The duration of the treatment should not exceed 5 days, because there may be imbalances of the microbial flora in the oral cavity with the risk of bacterial or fungal infections.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Grown ups:
The recommended dose is one Strepsils pill every 2 hours; do not take more than 8 pills in 24 hours.

Pediatric population:

• Children over 12 years of age: the recommended dose is similar to that for adults.
• Children under 12 years of age
• Not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

Seniors:
It is not necessary to adjust the dose in this category of patients.

Composition:
- The active substances are amylmetacresol, 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol and lidocaine hydrochloride. Each pill contains amylmetacresol 0.6 mg, 2,4 dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.2 mg and lidocaine hydrochloride 10.00 mg.
-The other components are: tartaric acid, sodium saccharin, natural levomenthol, peppermint oil, anise oil, quinoline yellow (E 104), indigo carmine (E 132), sugar and glucose.
