Strepsils honey and lemon, 24 tablets, Reckitt Benckiser Healthcare

Indications:

• Strepsils Intensive Honey and Lemon contains flurbiprofen which belongs to a group of substances called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAIDs help reduce inflammation, pain and fever
• Strepsils Intensive Honey and Lemon helps to soothe the pain and inflammation of the throat accompanying colds, laryngitis or tonsillitis
• The emollient effect is observed 2 minutes after administration
• Strepsils Intensiv Honey and Lemon starts working within 2 minutes of administration due to the demulcent effect (calming the irritated throat).
• Reduction of pharyngeal pain was observed after 15 minutes
• Relief of pain and inflammation is expected to occur within 30 minutes of taking one pill and lasts up to 4 hours

Composition:

The active substance is flurbiprofen. Each tablet contains flurbiprofen 8.75 mg.

Administration method:

• Always take Strepsils Intensive Honey and Lemon exactly as your doctor has told you
• You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Doses:

• Side effects can be minimized by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest period necessary to control symptoms. The duration of treatment should not exceed 3 days
• Adults and children over 12 years old. The recommended dose is one Strepsils Intensive Honey and Lemon pill (8.75 mg flurbiprofen) every 3-6 hours (the pills are kept in the oral cavity until dissolved; do not chew or swallow whole); depending on the severity of the symptoms, the maximum dose is 5 Strepsils Intensive Honey and Lemon pills (43.75 mg flurbiprofen) in 24 hours. The duration of treatment should not exceed 3 days.
• Children under 12 years of age: Strepsils Intensive Honey and Lemon is not indicated for children under 12 years of age.

Contraindications:

Do not take Strepsils Intensive Honey and Lemon if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to flurbiprofen, other NSAIDs or any of the other components of the medicine.

Precautions:

Before using Strepsils Intensive Honey and Lemon, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine
• During the first 5 months of pregnancy, NSAIDs can be used for as short a period as possible, on the doctor's recommendation, if absolutely necessary. The use of NSAIDs in the last 4 months of pregnancy can cause premature closure of the ductus arteriosus in the fetus and a persistent increase in pulmonary pressure in the newborn. Therefore, taking Strepsils Intensive Honey and Lemon in the last 4 months of pregnancy is contraindicated
• Flurbiprofen is excreted in breast milk in very low concentration; as a precautionary measure, it is recommended to avoid administration during breastfeeding
• There is some evidence that drugs that inhibit cyclooxygenase/prostaglandin synthesis may affect female fertility through an effect on ovulation. It is reversible upon discontinuation of treatment.

Driving vehicles and using machines:

Sometimes dizziness or visual disturbances may occur after taking Strepsils Intensive Honey and Lemon; in this situation it is not recommended to drive vehicles or use machines.
