Ingredients:
Sterile, clear, preservative-free ophthalmic solution containing 0.2% xanthan gum and 0.025% sodium desonide phosphonate.

Precautions:
Hypersensitivity to product components; ocular hypertension and glaucoma; eye infections (such as herpes simplex, viral corneal infection, bacterial, viral, or fungal conjunctivitis, ocular tuberculosis and mycosis, purulent and herpetic blepharitis, and styes); corneal injuries or abrasions; diseases related to corneal thinning.

Warnings:
The product contains low concentrations of corticosteroids, so it should not be used chronically unless medically indicated.
Very rarely, cases of corneal calcification have been reported in association with the use of phosphate-containing eye drops in some patients with significantly damaged corneas.
The use of corticosteroids, especially prolonged ones, can cause an increase in intraocular pressure. Therefore, monitoring of intraocular pressure is recommended when using corticosteroids for periods longer than two weeks. Since corticosteroids also promote the development of cataracts, it is recommended not to use them for prolonged periods.
XANTERDES can also be used by people who wear contact lenses, but they should remove them before administering the product and wait 10 minutes before putting them back on.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
In children and during pregnancy, the product should only be administered in cases of real need and only under medical supervision.

Side effects:
Use of the product may occasionally cause slight burning after instillation.

Interactions with other medications or medical devices used for ocular use.
There are no known interactions of the product with the administration of other ophthalmic drugs.
However, it is recommended not to administer other medications or medical devices for ocular use within 10 minutes after instillation of XANTERDES solution.

Precautions for use and storage:
Do not use XANTERDES solution if the single-dose container is open or damaged.
Avoid touching the eye or any surface with the tip of the open container and avoid direct contact with the eye.
Each single-dose container should be used immediately after opening.
Do not reuse any remaining product, as XANTERDES does not contain preservatives and any remaining product may become contaminated.
After opening each foil pouch, the remaining single-dose containers should be stored inside the pouch to protect the product from light. Once opened, the foil pouches should be used within 28 days.
Do not store at temperatures above 25°C.
Do not use XANTERDES after the expiry date.
Do not dispose of the product in the environment after use.
XANTERDES solution can be administered to children or people with limited abilities, under the supervision of a responsible adult.
