SiderAL® Folic 30 mg is a food supplement with Sucrosomial® Iron and vitamins used to compensate for the nutritional deficiency of adolescents and adults or in periods when the body needs increased iron.

The Sucrosomial® Iron incorporation technology (Sideral® r.m.) increases gastric tolerance because the iron protected in Sucrosom® does not come into direct contact with the gastrointestinal mucosa. In this way, gastric tolerance is increased and gastrointestinal disorders that usually occur when using iron supplements are avoided.

Iron is an essential element and is controlled primarily by dietary intake, intestinal absorption, and iron recirculation in the body. Iron in food can be found in two forms: heme and non-heme iron.

• Heme iron is readily absorbed from hemoglobin and myoglobin found in animal meat. Non-heme iron is found in plant foods and is not as readily absorbed. Compounds such as phytates, oxalates, polyphenols, and tannins, found in plants, reduce the absorption of non-heme iron.
• In a healthy diet, approximately 5-15 mg of elemental iron and 0.2 mg of heme iron are ingested, although only 1-2 mg are ultimately absorbed from the intestines.
• Iron contributes to normal cognitive function, normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin, normal cognitive development of children, normal oxygen transport in the body
• Iron, Folic Acid and Vitamin B12 contribute to the process of cell division
• Vitamin B6 contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system, normal functioning of the nervous system, regulation of hormonal activity
• Iron, vitamins B6 and B12 contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism and the formation of red blood cells. Folic acid contributes to the proper functioning of hematopoiesis.
• Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of healthy bones, the normal absorption and utilization of calcium and phosphorus, and the normal functioning of muscles. Vitamin D is necessary for the normal growth and development of children
• Iron, vitamins B6, B12, C and folic acid contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue
• Iron, vitamins B6, B12, D and vitamin C contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system
• Vitamin C contributes to the normal formation of collagen necessary for the normal functioning of skin, teeth, gums, bones and ligaments. Increases iron absorption
• Folic acid, also known as folate or vitamin B9, increases the folic acid status of the mother.

Sideral Folic does not contain food allergens (as defined in Annex II of European Regulation no. 1169/2011 and subsequent revisions).
