Description
NUROFEN 200 mg belongs to the drugs called analgesics, antipyretics, non-steroidal antirheumatic drugs (to reduce inflammation, pain, fever). The active ingredient of NUROFEN 200 mg is ibuprofen, which relieves pain, has anti-inflammatory effects and reduces high temperature. Ibuprofen prevents the formation of certain substances (prostaglandins) that are involved in the body in creating pain, temperature rise and inflammation. It is used to relieve mild to moderate pain such as headache, back pain, toothache, period pain, muscle and joint pain, colds and flu symptoms. It relieves inflammation and lowers temperature in febrile conditions. The medicine is intended for adults and children over 12 years of age.
Use
Adults and children over 12 years: initial dose of 2 tablets, then take 1-2 tablets as needed, but not more than 6 tablets per day. The interval between individual doses is at least 4 hours. Filmed tablets are swallowed whole, it is recommended to drink them with a small amount of liquid.
If digestive problems occur during treatment, take the medicine during meals. If the pain or fever does not subside during treatment with NUROFEN 200 mg and persists for more than 3-5 days, consult your doctor about the next course of action. Consult a doctor if you take NUROFEN 200 mg for more than 7 days. If you administer NUROFEN 200 mg to a child over 12 years of age, consult the doctor after only 3 days.
It is not recommended to drink alcoholic beverages and smoke during treatment.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the drug and other auxiliary substances, in case of hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid or other anti-inflammatory drugs, manifested by bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis or urticaria.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
In the first and second trimester of pregnancy and during breastfeeding, the drug can be taken only on the recommendation of the doctor. Women who want to become pregnant should consult a doctor about the possibility of using the drug. The drug should not be used in the third trimester of pregnancy.
Taking other medicines
When NUROFEN 200 mg and some other drugs are used simultaneously, their effects may be affected. Medicines that interact with ibuprofen include e.g. medicines that reduce blood clotting (increase the risk of bleeding). Acetylsalicylic acid and other anti-inflammatory drugs and corticosteroids increase the risk of side effects in the digestive tract, including bleeding and stomach ulcers.
