Nasal spray for children 2-12 years Olynth 0.5mg, 10 ml, Johnson&Johnson

Indications:

• Olynth 0.5mg/ml contains xylometazoline, which helps reduce nasal congestion by reducing inflammation of the mucous membrane (nasal mucosa) to help you breathe more easily.
• The medicine is used for the short-term treatment of nasal congestion accompanied by nasal secretions, associated with colds or sinusitis.

Composition:

The active substance is xylometazoline hydrochloride, 0.5 mg per milliliter of solution. Each spray of Olynth 0.5mg/ml (=0.070ml) contains 35ug (or 0.035mg) xylometazoline hydrochloride. The other ingredients are: sodium edetate, sodium chloride, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, disodium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, sorbitol (E420), benzalkonium chloride and purified water.

Administration method:

Unless the doctor or pharmacist recommends otherwise, use a puff of Olynth 0.5mg/ml in each nostril up to 3 times a day, for a maximum of 7 days.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose.
• The protective cover is removed.
• To ensure the correct release of doses, before the first administration it is sprayed into the air by pressing the dosing pump 2-3 times. Thus, the pump is ready for administration.
• To use, press the pump once, then inhale slowly.
• During administration, the bottle is held upright with the pump pointing upwards.
• Do not use the product in a horizontal or downward position.
• After use, cover with the protective cap.
• In case of chronic rhinitis, Olynth 0.5% should be administered only under medical supervision, due to the risk of atrophy of the nasal mucosa.
