LIVER- Screen® is a rapid, specific immunodiagnostic test for the examination of elevated transaminase activity (both ALT and AST) in the blood . Liver tests are one of the main methods of diagnosing liver damage. In this case, transaminases are released from the liver into the bloodstream. The LIVER-Screen ® screening test is recommended when symptoms suggestive of liver damage occur, such as dark urine, light-colored stools, loss of appetite, yellow eyes or skin, abdominal swelling, weakness, or fatigue. The test can also be performed as part of liver prevention.
Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) are two enzymes found in liver cells (hepatocytes). The LIVER-Screen ® test allows the detection of significantly increased levels of transaminases ALT and AST (over 80 IU/l) in blood obtained from a finger prick. The test is performed to diagnose and evaluate the physiological state of the liver . Taking the test can be an important element of liver prevention and can help diagnose the disease. All test results should always be interpreted in relation to clinical symptoms or disease history. If the test result deviates from the norm, you should consult a doctor for further diagnosis or treatment.
