Description
LabHome's Gluten'Alarm ® is a rapid blood test for the diagnosis of celiac disease. The medical self-monitoring device allows the detection of anti-tTG antibodies of the IgA class (antibodies against tissue transglutaminase), whose presence in the blood may indicate gluten intolerance . The test also allows you to monitor your gluten-free diet.
The material for the test is blood obtained from a finger prick , and the result at the level of a laboratory test (97% reliability) is obtained in real time ( 15 minutes ) at home.
Celiac disease (visceral disease) is an autoimmune disease with a genetic basis that occurs in children and adults. The cause is gluten intolerance, the presence of which in the diet causes a reaction of the immune system, as a result of which the villi of the small intestine are destroyed. This leads to impaired absorption of nutrients. Symptoms of gluten intolerance can include bloating, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and discomfort after meals.
