Description
KELAPHER treatment cream for bruises, hematomas with nano-lactoferrin 15%, 50 ml, Solartium Group
KELAPHER® cream is an original, patented medical preparation based on liposomal Lactoferrin, with clinically proven effectiveness in the treatment of ecchymoses and hematomas resulting from trauma or surgery, as well as hemosiderin pigmentation in patients with chronic venous insufficiency.
TREATMENT INNOVATION:
- Lactoferrin liposomal encapsulation technology
- Liposomes represent a new system for transporting the active substance in the form of lipid nanoparticles, which allow better absorption of Lactoferrin at the skin level, increased bioavailability and better and faster results.
THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS:
- Bruises and hematomas after injectable procedures (filler, botulinum toxin, mesotherapy)
- Post-surgical bruises and hematomas (blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty)
- Hemosiderin pigmentations after sclerotherapy
- Hemosiderin pigmentations associated with IVC
- Prevention of varicose ulcers
- Post treatments with non-ablative laser, laser epilation, post vascular laser.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS OF KELAPHER® CREAM:
- KELAPHER® cream contains liposomal lactoferrin in a concentration of 15%, a glycoprotein from the transferrin family with numerous biological functions in the body and recognized by the US FDA and EFSA as a GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) substance
- Lactoferrin is an important component of innate immunity, with a very important role in iron homeostasis in the body. Each molecule has the ability to chelate two free iron ions (Fe3+) under different physiological conditions, thus preventing the excessive storage of this heavy metal in the body and the associated toxicity
- In case of extravasation of blood into the tissues, Liposomal Lactoferrin has been shown to be effective in removing ferric pigments (hemosiderin) from the tissues and reducing the specific color (yellowish brown)
- Due to its unique mechanism of action, liposomal Lactoferrin has been shown to be effective in eliminating ecchymoses and hematomas after injectable or surgical procedures (eg blepharoplasty) and hemosiderin pigmentation specific to patients with chronic venous insufficiency.
CLINICAL STUDIES:
Lactoferrin is the second most studied substance in the world, with over 12,000 clinical studies published to date.
There is a lot of evidence that highlights the increased affinity of Lactoferrin to iron ions and the important role of this substance in the body1,2. In addition to eliminating excessive iron deposits in the body and hemosiderin pigmentations on the skin, numerous in vitro and in vivo studies demonstrate that Lactoferrin also has an antibacterial effect against numerous gram-positive and negative bacteria.
The antimicrobial effect of Lactoferrin is mainly attributed to the property of chelating free iron and in this way it deprives pathogenic bacteria of this essential element to multiply. In parallel, Lactoferrin also has a direct bactericidal effect, by binding to the liposaccharides at the level of the cell membrane, damaging and destroying the bacterial wall, as well as inhibiting the formation of biofilm. 3,4
Numerous studies show that Lactoferrin has an important anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect. Numerous in vivo and in vitro studies demonstrate that in case of trauma or infection, Lactoferrin has the ability to modulate cytokine synthesis and activates the immune response, with regulation of inflammation. 5,6
Lactoferrin also has a direct and indirect antioxidant effect, by eliminating excess iron from the body, as well as regulating the physiological balance of reactive oxygen species and stimulating the action of antioxidant enzymes.
