Citronac-KD, 20 sachets, Meditrina Pharmaceuticals

It is a food supplement that contains an original mixture of citrates that can help reduce the decline of the glomerular filtration rate.

Thanks to the original mixture of citrates, Citronac-KD can restore the acid-base balance and by correcting metabolic acidosis it can help maintain an optimal blood pH (7.35 - 7.45).

Active ingredients:

• Original mixture of citrates equivalent to 1691 mg citrates and 306 mg sodium; flavor enhancer: lemon lime; sweetener: Stevia rebaudiana leaf extract (with 98% rebaudioside)
• Each dose of Citronac-KD sachets provides 80 mEq of bicarbonate (HCO3-) and contains 306 mg of elemental sodium
• Does not contain potassium.

How to use:

Each bag of Citronac-KD must be dissolved in enough water or fruit juice and consumed in two approximately equal doses, one in the morning and one in the evening.

Precautions:

• The presence of food does not influence the absorption of Citronac-KD
• Dissolved in water and kept in the refrigerator (4°C) Citronac-KD is stable for at least 24 hours.

Contraindications:

• Citronac-KD should not be administered to people with metabolic or respiratory alkalosis. Also, Citronac-KD should not be administered to people who have urinary infections associated with phosphate kidney stones, caused by microorganisms that produce urease (bacteria that multiply in the presence of urea)
• Citronac-KD should be administered with caution to people with heart failure, edema, renal and hepatic failure, hypertension or hyperaldosteronism
• Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
