Description

It is used to provide short-term relief in the following situations: mild to moderate pain (eg, headache, toothache, menstrual pain, rheumatic pain, and muscle pain).

Dosage and dosage regimens

Unless otherwise prescribed by a physician, adults and children over 14 years of age should take 1 softgel every 4-6 hours as needed. In any case, no more than 3 soft capsules (equivalent to 75 mg diclofenac potassium) should be taken in any 24-hour period.

The medicine should be used for a short period of time. The treatment should last 3 days. If symptoms persist or worsen, the patient should consult a doctor.

Mode of use

The soft capsules should be swallowed whole with water. The rate of absorption of diclofenac is reduced when the drug is taken with food. Therefore, it is recommended not to take soft capsules during or immediately after a meal.

Warning

The use of the drug is not recommended for women who are trying to get pregnant. The drug should not be taken during the first and second trimesters of pregnancy, unless clearly necessary. In the 3rd trimester of pregnancy, the drug is contraindicated. The drug should not be administered during breastfeeding to prevent adverse effects on the child. It is not recommended to use the medicine in children and adolescents under 14 years of age. Due to the possible adverse reaction profile, elderly patients should be monitored particularly closely (see SPC, section 4.4). The drug is contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic or renal insufficiency (see SPC, section 4.3). Caution is recommended in patients with mild to moderate hepatic or renal impairment (see SPC, section 4.4). Patients who experience individual visual disturbances or dizziness during treatment should not drive motor vehicles or operate machinery. Very rarely (<1/10,000) a photosensitivity reaction may occur. Gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforations have been reported with all NSAIDs. Adverse effects can be eliminated by administering the lowest effective dose for the shortest period necessary to correct symptoms.
