Description
Enterol 250 mg, 10 capsules, Dr. Reddys
Enterol 250 mg is indicated for the treatment of acute infectious diarrhea in adults and children; for the prevention and treatment of colitis and diarrhea caused by the consumption of antibiotics; in combination with vancomycin/metronidazole, to prevent the recurrence of diseases produced by Clostridium difficile; for the prevention of diarrhea caused by enteral nutrition; for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome.
If after 2 days you do not feel better or if you feel worse, you should see a doctor.
Composition:
One capsule contains lyophilized Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 282.5 mg (contains lyophilized cells of Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 250 mg) and excipients: lyophilized: lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate; capsule: gelatin, titanium dioxide (E171).
Administration method:
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you
- Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure
- The recommended dose is 1-2 Enterol 250 mg capsules, 1-2 times a day
- The capsules can be swallowed with water or opened by pouring the contents into a little sweetened soft drink (the sugar must be boiled) or food or, as appropriate, into a bottle.
Contraindications:
Do not take Enterol 250 mg:
- if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other components of this medicine
- if you have a central venous catheter
- immunocompromised or hospitalized patients (due to serious illnesses or a modified or weakened immune system).
Precautions:
- The patient must take into account the need for abundant consumption of salty or sweetened liquids (sugar must be boiled), to compensate for the losses due to diarrhea (in adults, the average liquid intake is 2 l per day). Also, during diarrhea the diet should exclude certain foods, in particular, raw vegetables, fruits and vegetables, spicy foods, as well as cold foods and drinks and should contain mainly grilled steak and rice
- If, after 2 days of treatment, diarrhea persists, therapeutic behavior should be reevaluated and intravenous rehydration should be considered.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine
- No teratogenic potential was found in animal studies
- To date, no fetotoxic or malformative effects have been reported in the clinic
- Due to insufficient data, it is recommended to avoid the use of this medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Driving vehicles and using machines:
Enterol 250 mg does not influence the ability to drive vehicles or use machines.
