Recommended:
For temporary replacement of the glycosaminoglycan (GAG) layer in the bladder mucosa. This layer provides a protective barrier against microorganisms, carcinogens, crystals and other agents present in urine. Degradation of this GAG layer can destroy its barrier function and allow the adhesion of bacteria, microcrystals, proteins and ions.
The GAG layer of the bladder is deficient in cystitis: interstitial cystitis, cystitis following radiation, infection, trauma, urinary stones, urinary retention or neoplasia. To improve cystitis associated with such a clinical picture, it is recommended to instill Cystistat into the bladder once a week for 4 to 12 weeks, then once a month until the symptoms disappear.
The use of Cystistat for prophylactic purposes should be done under the supervision of a urologist or radiologist.
The active substance is the sodium salt of high purity hyaluronic acid.
Each vial of Cystistat contains 40 mg of sodium hyaluronate.

How to use:
Instill all the solution into the bladder after voiding the residual urine. Any unused solution should be discarded. To obtain the best results, Cystistat should be retained in the bladder for as long as possible (at least 30 minutes).
