Sinecod syrup, 200 ml, Gsk

Indications:
Sinecod contains the active substance butamirate citrate, which belongs to a group of medicines called antitussives.
Sinecod is used for the symptomatic treatment of cough caused by various causes.

Composition:
- The active substance is butamirate citrate. One milliliter of Sinecod contains 1.5 mg of butamirate citrate.
- The other ingredients (excipients) are: non-crystallizable liquid sorbitol (E 420), glycerol, sodium saccharin, benzoic acid (E 210), vanillin, ethanol 96%, sodium hydroxide 30%, purified water.

Method of administration:
Do not use Sinecod for more than 7 days without your doctor's advice.
Children aged 3 to 6 years: 5 ml 3 times a day.
Children aged 6 to 12 years: 10 ml 3 times a day.
Children over 12 years of age (adolescents): 15 ml 3 times a day.
Adults: 15 ml 4 times a day.

Contraindications:
Do not use Sinecod
- if you are allergic to butamirate citrate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
- if you suffer from severe respiratory failure.

Precautions:
Consult your doctor or pharmacist if your cough persists for more than 7 days.
Please avoid simultaneous use of other cough medicines as it may lead to mucus stagnation in the lungs.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, use Sinecod only on the recommendation of your doctor.

Driving and using machines:
In rare cases, Sinecod may cause a decrease in alertness. If you are in such a situation you should exercise caution when driving or using machinery. Your child should avoid riding a bicycle or scooter in traffic after using Sinecod.
