Sab Simplex, 30 ml, Pfizer

Indications:
Sab Simplex is an antiflatulence medication (for treating intestinal gas accumulation).
Sab Simplex works by breaking the film on the surface of gas bubbles accumulated in the stomach or intestine in the form of foam, thus releasing the gas which is then easily eliminated from the intestine.
Therefore, Sab Simplex can be used to relieve disorders caused by excessive gas formation in the stomach and intestines, to prepare for medical examination of the abdomen by radiography, radioscopy, ultrasound or gastroduodenoscopy, to treat excessive gas formation after surgical interventions, or as an adjuvant treatment in case of detergent poisoning.

Composition:
- The active substance is simethicone, composed of dimethicone 350 and silicon dioxide in a ratio of 92.5:7.5. One milliliter of oral suspension (approximately 25 drops) contains 69.19 mg of simethicone.
- The other components (excipients) are: sodium citrate, citric acid monohydrate, sodium cyclamate, sodium benzoate, sodium saccharin, carbomer 974P, methylhydroxypropylcellulose 50 cPs, raspberry flavor, vanilla flavor, purified water.

Method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet. You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
If you have the impression that the effect of Sab Simplex is too strong or too weak, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Gastrointestinal disorders caused by the accumulation of intestinal gas
Infants and bottle-fed children: 15 drops (0.6 ml) added to each bottle of food. Sab Simplex mixes easily with other liquids, e.g. milk.
Young children: 15 drops (0.6 ml) during or after meals. If necessary, another 15 drops can be given before bedtime.
Schoolchildren and adults: 20-30 drops (0.8-1.2 ml)
Adults: 30-45 drops (1.2-1.8 ml)
These doses can be administered every 4-6 hours; if necessary, the dose can be increased.
It is recommended to administer Sab Simplex suspension during or after meals and, if necessary, before bedtime.
Sab Simplex suspension can be administered to infants before breastfeeding using a teaspoon.
The bottle should be shaken well before use. Turn the bottle with the dropper system down and tap the bottom lightly to activate the passage of the solution through the dropper.

Contraindications:
Do not take Sab Simplex
- if you are allergic to simethicone or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
Sab Simplex oral suspension can be taken during treatment with other medications.
Sab Simplex with food and drink
Sab Simplex oral suspension can be taken during or between meals and can be taken with other liquids, such as milk.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:
Sab Simplex can be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Driving and using machines:
Sab Simplex does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.
