Bitter tonic.

Indications:

• Anorexia, dyspepsia, intestinal parasites
• Biliary dyskinesia, fever.

Ingredients:

The upper part of the Artemisia absinthium L. plant, fam. Asteraceae, which contains volatile oil, predominantly thujone; bitter substances; flavones; phytosterols; tannin; organic acids.

Effects:

Bitter tonic, aperitif, stomachic (stimulates the secretion of gastrointestinal juices), cholagogue (stimulates the elimination of bile), disinfectant, and anti-inflammatory for the digestive tract; Anthelmintic, antipyretic, emmenagogue (promotes the onset of menstruation).

Preparation:

Pour 200 ml of boiling water over a teaspoon of the plant and leave covered for 10-15 minutes, then strain.

How to use: 

• Drink 2 cups of tea daily, before meals
• Duration of treatment: 2 weeks. Can be repeated after a one-month break
• Do not exceed the recommended dosage and duration of administration.

Contraindications:

• Not recommended for hyperacid gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, epilepsy, and hypersensitivity to this plant
• This tea is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
