GENERAL INFORMATION: The Alecto 2 thermometer set will allow you to measure body temperature simply and quickly. The set contains 2 thermometers: Digital thermometer with flexible tip, for adults: the temperature can be measured axillary (underarm), intrarectal (in the rectum) or orally (in the mouth). The digital pacifier thermometer, especially for babies: the temperature is measured orally (in the mouth) in 3-5 min. Read the safety precautions carefully before use and keep this user manual for future reference.

Temperature: Human body temperature is usually between 36.5°C and 37.5°C. This temperature depends on many things, such as age or strenuous activities. Also, the place from which you take the temperature (in the armpit, in the rectum, in the mouth), but also the time can influence the temperature value*. When you see your doctor, always specify how you took your temperature. *In general, the rectal temperature is the most accurate. The temperature measured orally (in the mouth) is almost 0.5°C lower than that measured rectally. The temperature measured in the armpit is 0.5°C lower than that measured in the mouth. The temperature is lower in the morning than in the afternoon.

Temperature measurement:
1) Choose the thermometer you are going to use according to the person whose temperature you are going to take and place the thermometer in the rectum, in the mouth or under the armpit as appropriate.
2) Press the START button once and wait until the degrees Celsius (°C) symbol is displayed and the previous measurement appears, followed by 37 °C.
3) Leave the thermometer where you placed it until you hear a beep. At that time, the temperature is displayed on the screen. Fever alert: above 37.8 °C with a rapid sequence of beeps.
4) Turn off the thermometer by pressing the power button again.
5) Clean the thermometer and replace it.

Memory: Thanks to the memory function, the thermometer keeps the last measured temperature. As soon as you turn on the thermometer, the last measured temperature will be briefly displayed on the screen, followed by the letter M. Attention: this display appears briefly, only once for each measurement. The battery of the digital pacifier thermometer cannot be replaced.
