The food supplement ProbioBalance Plantarum contains 10 billion bacteria in each capsule. Each bacterium was coated with a lipid bilayer, providing an effective barrier and allowing the bacteria to safely pass through the acidic environment of the stomach to arrive intact in the intestines, where it is expected to exert its biological activity.
