Dry eye, medically known as keratoconjunctivitis sicca, is one of the most frequently diagnosed eye conditions. This complex condition is often caused by increased evaporation of the tear film due to a disruption of its outermost layer. Typical symptoms include burning, itching, and a gritty feeling in the eyes, as well as increased tear production or an unpleasant foreign body sensation. The eyes are often red and feel tired. This chronic condition requires regular checkups with an ophthalmologist. High-quality medicated lubricating solutions containing hyaluronic acid have proven effective in treating dry eyes. For intensive lubrication, the use of thicker gels is recommended. VISMED GEL avoids the viscous consistency often dreaded by patients. The product boasts a pleasantly fluid texture, leaving the gel feeling silky smooth on the eye – without impairing vision. Instructions for use:
Twist off the cap of the single-dose container and hold the ampoule opening over the eye to be treated. VISMED GEL can be easily dispensed from the ampoule with gentle finger pressure. The solution spreads with each blink and forms a transparent, long-lasting layer of fluid on the surface of the eye. Do not touch the dropper opening of the ampoule during application and do not bring it directly to the eye. Do not use damaged ampoules.

The storage temperature should be below 30 °C.

Warnings: Reseal the ampoule after use. As VISMED GEL contains no preservatives, the solution should be used within 12 hours of opening. Any solution not used within 12 hours of opening must be discarded. Otherwise, sterility is no longer guaranteed and this may lead to a risk of infection. Do not use damaged VISMED GEL ampoules. Do not freeze! Do not use VISMED GEL after the expiry date printed on the ampoule and the carton. If your symptoms persist while using VISMED GEL, you should seek medical attention.
