Maxon Forte 2x Pack offers a higher dose of sildenafil (50 mg) available without a prescription . The drug makes it easier to achieve and maintain an erection after sexual stimulation, also known as impotence. Maxon Forte should not be used by men who are more effective at a lower dose of sildenafil (25 mg).
Composition
The active substance is sildenafil.
One tablet contains 50 mg of sildenafil citrate.
Excipients: Tablet core: microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropylcellulose, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica. Opadry II 31F58914 white tablet coating: hypromellose 15cP, lactose monohydrate, titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol 4000, sodium citrate dihydrate.
Dosage
Always use Maxon Forte exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any questions, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
The 50 mg dose is intended only for men whose erection was insufficient for intercourse after the lower dose (25 mg) . If the medication proved effective in a lower dose, the dose should not be increased.
How to dose this erection medication?
Maxon Forte should not be taken more than once a day.
The erectile dysfunction pill should be taken approximately one hour before planned sexual intercourse. It should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. The erection effect of the pill usually occurs within 30-60 minutes. A large meal may extend this time. Maxon Forte allows for an erection only when sexually stimulated.
If the effect of the medicine is not sufficient, contact your doctor.
Action
The sildenafil contained in the drug facilitates the relaxation of blood vessels in the penis. This allows blood to fill the corpora cavernosa more efficiently, resulting in a larger and longer-lasting erection.
Indications
Maxon Forte is intended for men who experience problems with erectile dysfunction – they are unable to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for sexual intercourse.
Contraindications
Maxon forte should not be used in case of allergy to the active substance (sildenafil) or excipients.
Nitrates, substances that release nitric oxide (including so-called poppers), are also contraindicated. These drugs are used in medicine to relieve the symptoms of angina (chest pain). Combining them with sildenafil can cause a severe and dangerous drop in blood pressure. Riociguat (used for pulmonary hypertension) has a similar interaction.
Maxon Forte is also contraindicated in case of severe heart disease, liver disease, recent stroke or heart attack, low blood pressure, hereditary degenerative changes of the retina or if you have ever had vision loss due to non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy.
Side effects
Like all medicines, Maxon Forte can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Very often (may affect more than 1 in 10 patients) | headache. |

| Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people) | chest pain, allergic reactions, vomiting, skin rash, eye irritation, red eyes, eye pain, seeing flashes of light, bright vision, sensitivity to light, watery eyes, palpitations, fast heartbeat, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, muscle pain, drowsiness, decreased sense of touch, dizziness, ringing in the ears, dry mouth, blocked or stuffy sinuses, rhinitis (symptoms include runny nose, sneezing and stuffy nose), upper abdominal pain, gastroesophageal reflux disease (symptoms include heartburn), blood in urine, pain in arms or legs, nosebleed, feeling hot, feeling tired. |

Warnings and precautions
Taking the potency drug Maxon Forte should be consulted with a doctor in case of anatomical defects of the penis or Peyronie's disease, as well as in the case of:
- sickle cell anemia (an abnormality of red blood cells), leukemia (cancer of the blood), multiple myeloma (cancer of the bone marrow);
- heart problems;
- peptic ulcer disease;
- coagulation disorders.
If you experience sudden decrease or loss of vision, stop taking the medicine immediately and contact your doctor.
The drug should not be taken if erectile dysfunction is not present.
Maxon Forte should not be combined with other drugs used to treat impotence.
Use of other medications
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the medicines you are taking, have recently taken or might take.
Maxon Forte may interact with:
- nitrate drugs – used to treat chest pain (combination contraindicated);
- nitric oxide releasing drugs (combination contraindicated);
- riociguat (combination contraindicated);
- protease inhibitors used to treat HIV (it is recommended to start with a lower dose of sildenafil);
- alpha-blockers (an appropriate interval between drugs is recommended).
Taking the medicine with food and drink
A large meal may delay the onset of the medication. Alcohol may weaken an erection.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
The medicine is not intended for women.
Driving and operating machinery
Maxon Forte may cause dizziness and blurred vision. Before driving, be sure to understand how your body reacts to the medication.
