Rival gel 20 mg/g, 20 g, Fiterman

Indications:
It is indicated for relieving pain, itching and inflammation that accompany allergic skin conditions such as: insect bites, minor burns, sunburn, scratches and minor skin irritations.

Composition:
1 gram of gel contains diphenhydramine hydrochloride 20 mg. Also contains L-menthol, ethanol, hydroxyethylcellulose, propylene glycol, purified water.

Method of administration:
- adults: it is recommended to apply a thin layer, in 4-6 applications per day, by gentle massage, of an amount of gel from the size of a cherry to that of a walnut (1-3 g), to the affected area; the therapeutic effect appears immediately after application and can last up to 6 hours;
- children over 2 years of age and adolescents: it is recommended to apply a maximum of 4 times a day, in the same way as for adults;
- children under 2 years of age: the gel is applied only on the recommendation of a pediatrician.
The duration of treatment depends on the therapeutic effect.

Contraindications:
Do not use Rival
- if you are allergic to diphenhydramine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
-if the area of ​​skin on which you want to apply the gel has lesions, wounds or blisters, eczema or infected dermatoses;
-if you apply to large areas of skin;
-if the area where you want to apply the gel has rashes caused by chickenpox or measles;
-if you are using other medicines containing diphenhydramine at the same time, even those taken orally;
-if you are pregnant in the first three months of pregnancy.

Precautions:
This medicine is for skin use only. Do not swallow. Avoid contact with eyes, nose or mouth.
Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the gel. If the gel is applied repeatedly by another person, they should wear protective gloves.
The area where you have applied the gel should be protected from excessive exposure to sunlight or artificial light, as Rival may cause photosensitivity in those areas.
If a skin rash or other adverse reactions occur, discontinue use of Rival.
Do not use in newborns and children under 2 years of age unless recommended by a pediatrician.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Rival should not be used during the first three months of pregnancy. As a precautionary measure, due to possible systemic absorption, Rival should not be used during the later months of pregnancy unless clearly necessary and under the recommended conditions and doses. Application to large areas of skin should be avoided, especially to areas of inflamed or damaged skin.
Rival passes into breast milk and should not be used during breastfeeding.

Driving and using machines:
Rival gel does not affect the ability to drive or use machines if administered as recommended.
If you have applied Rival to large areas of skin or to areas with lesions, do not drive or use machines, as side effects such as dizziness or drowsiness may occur.
