The product is a local contraceptive with spermicidal and antiseptic effects.

Indications: 

The product is recommended for sexually active women and especially in the following cases

• if temporary or permanent oral contraception cannot be used
• impossibility of using an intrauterine device or its intolerance
• contraception in the postpartum period, during breastfeeding or after abortion and in the premenopausal period
• contraception during casual sexual intercourse
• during oral contraception in case the woman forgot to take a contraceptive pill (both contraceptive methods should be used until the end of the cycle)
• it can be used in combination with local contraception with an intrauterine device (especially during simultaneous treatment with non-steroidal anti-rheumatic drugs).

Active substances: 

Benzalkonium chloride.

How to use: 

• 1 vaginal capsule about 5 minutes before sexual intercourse
• Protection is immediate and lasts for at least 4 hours, but in case of repeated intercourse, another vaginal capsule must be inserted
• The vaginal capsule is inserted deep into the vagina with the index finger before sexual intercourse
• The insertion process is easier and more successful if the woman assumes a lying position
• It is necessary to wait until the capsule has completely dissolved
• Only external cleansing with clean water can be performed before intercourse and immediately after intercourse
• If the patient wants to douche the vagina, she must wait at least 2 hours after intercourse, because even douching with clean water can lead to unwanted elimination of the drug.

Warnings:

• The product can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding
• The product must not be used in combination with other vaginally administered medications and soap
• In case of genital injury, use of the product must be discontinued
• If the vaginal capsules have been stored in a warm place, they can be placed in the refrigerator. After a short time, they regain their original shape without impairing their functionality
• The use of the product in combination with a condom is compatible
• Further special warnings are given in the SPC (section 4.4).
