Patchouli essential oil (M - 1145), 10 ml, Mayam

• An essence highly appreciated for its strong and deep perfume, with earthy, woody and smoky notes, but which contains a series of active principles with an anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious, venous decongestant, skin regenerator and cicatrizing role.
• Patchouli - or Paciuli - a plant originating in Asia, whose leaves and extracted essences have been used for a long time to perfume silk and cashmere fabrics, but also for its antiseptic or aphrodisiac virtues. Fresh patchouli leaves have no smell until they are dried and passed through a natural fermentation process, then becoming extremely aromatic.
• The essential oil extracted from these leaves matures over time, providing a deep, mysterious and charming fragrance. The biochemical profile of Patchouli essential oil is a special one, it presents substances rarely found in essential oils. Patchouli essential oil is an omnipresent essence in the perfumers' kit.

Method of obtaining:
By steam distillation from the leaves.

Characteristics:
Clear brown liquid, medium viscosity.

Olfactory description:
Intense and persistent scent, oriental, earthy, woody, with spicy and smoky notes.

Properties:

• skin regenerator, promotes tissue renewal;
• cicatrizing, cytophylactic, stimulates the regeneration of skin cells;
• venous tonic and decongestant, favors peripheral circulation;
• aphrodisiac, nerve tonic and stimulant, nerve sedative in larger doses;
• slightly anti-infective and antiseptic;
• perfume essence with base notes.

Recommendations:

• skin care affected by eczema, dermatosis, mycosis, inflammatory processes;
• care of damaged, cracked, wounded skin;
• care of mature, wrinkled, congested, asphyxiated skin;
• circulatory problems: varicose veins, hemorrhoids, water retention, cellulite;
• help in case of exhaustion, asthenia, impotence and frigidity;
• formulation of perfumes, especially oriental or masculine ones.

Way of ussage:

• it is a product that is not used as such on the skin, only as an ingredient in cosmetic preparations, perfumes and compositions for aromatherapy;
• the usual dosage recommended in cosmetic compositions is 0.5-2% with the mention that it has a rather heavy and persistent smell;
• as an ingredient for the preparation of skin care cosmetics: creams, serums, facial oils, masks;
• as an ingredient for the preparation of creams, balms, ointments and gels intended for circulatory problems and for body remodeling;
• combined with vegetable oils and possibly other specific active ingredients, in the form of circulatory or anti-cellulite massage;
• for aromatherapeutic massage, diluted in vegetable oil, possibly combined with other specific essences; the massage can be applied to the whole body or along the spine;
• together with other essences with top, middle and base notes, to create liquid or solid perfumes;
• as a perfume essence, together with other essences, for deodorants and soaps.
