No-Spa 40 mg contains the active ingredient drotaverine hydrochloride.

It belongs to a group of medicines called antispasmodics, which are used to relax smooth muscle spasms.

Indications:

The medicine is used for

• Smooth muscle spasms associated with diseases of the gallbladder and biliary tract, inflammation of the gallbladder and biliary tract often associated with gallstones, inflammation of the tissue around the gallbladder, inflammation of the bile duct
• Smooth muscle spasms of the kidneys and urinary tract: kidney stones and urination, inflammation of the renal pelvis, inflammation of the bladder, spasms of the bladder.

The drug is also used as an adjuvant treatment for

• Smooth muscle spasms of the digestive tract: gastric and duodenal ulcers, inflammation of the stomach lining, spasms of the pyloric sphincter in the stomach, inflammation of the small or large intestine, spastic inflammation of the colon associated with constipation and flatulence in irritable bowel syndrome
• Headaches in animals
• Gynecological diseases: painful menstruation.

Ingredients:

Each tablet contains Drotaverine Hydrochloride 40 mg.

How to use:

• Adults: the usual daily dose is 3-6 tablets (120-240 mg) in 2-3 doses
• The drug is intended for short-term use
• If symptoms do not improve within 5 days or worsen, you should consult a doctor.

Warnings:

• Caution is required when using the drug during pregnancy
• The drug is not recommended during breastfeeding
• The drug is contraindicated in children under 1 year of age. Use of the drug in children older than 1 year of age should be consulted with a doctor
• The drug is contraindicated in severe renal or hepatic insufficiency or severe heart failure (low output syndrome)
• The drug is administered with increased caution in hypotension
• If adverse reactions occur, the impact on the ability to drive and use machines should be considered individually
• The drug contains lactose
