Description
Medical device containing macrogol 4000, an osmotic laxative.
Isypan Constipation has a great capacity to rehydrate and soften hard stools, facilitating their evacuation and providing a feeling of relief.
It has a physical mechanism of action and carries out its action in a gentle way: it is not absorbed by the body, is eliminated unchanged and does not give rise to gas production.
It can be administered in case of occasional irregular stools and is especially indicated for chronic constipation.
It is suitable for children aged 2 and over, the elderly and people with celiac disease.
Its regulatory function is supported by a healthy lifestyle and a proper diet, rich in fiber, fruits and vegetables, with adequate fluid intake and good physical activity.
It does not contain flavors, sugar and electrolytes.

How to use
Isypan Constipation can be used from the age of 2 years.
Isypan Constipation is effective 48 hours after administration and can be used for treatments lasting up to 30 days.
Its formula containing only macrogol 4000 makes it suitable for patients who require a low-sodium, galactose-free and gluten-free diet.
It should be diluted with a drink of your choice, cold or warm (approximately 150 ml), such as a glass of water, fruit juice, tea or even milk, stirring until smooth. The absence of flavors and sweeteners does not alter the flavor of the drink. Drink the reconstituted solution. The product is for single use; do not use partially or already opened sachets. Do not use the device in any way other than as directed by the manufacturer.
- Adults: The appropriate dose is the lowest, sufficient to produce soft and regular stools, and should be adjusted according to the effects observed. This ranges from 1 sachet every other day (especially for pediatric use) to 2 sachets per day. Once regular stools are obtained, the dose should be reduced to 1 sachet per day or once every other day. The maximum daily dose can be up to 20 g or can be administered in a single administration. Do not exceed the maximum daily dose of 20 g.
Children: For patients aged 2 years and over, the recommended dose is 0.7 g/kg. Up to 20 kg in weight, the dose should be adjusted according to body weight and as directed by your doctor.

Do not take Isypan Constipation if you are hypersensitive to macrogol 4000 or if you have gastrointestinal perforation and/or obstruction. If you are not sure, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking Isypan Constipation.
As with all laxatives, organic disorders should be ruled out before starting treatment. Isypan Constipation can be taken for long periods of time, but if symptoms persist despite associated dietary measures, a doctor should be consulted to rule out underlying conditions.
There are no adequate and well-controlled studies, therefore, do not take Isypan Constipation during pregnancy and/or breastfeeding.
Do not take with oral medications.
Excessive doses of Isypan Constipation may cause diarrhea, abdominal pain, bloating and vomiting, which disappear when treatment is discontinued or the dose is reduced. In these circumstances, you should contact your doctor.
Do not take a double dose of Isypan Constipation to make up for a forgotten dose.
Keep out of reach of children.

Possible side effects in adults and children: diarrhoea, abdominal pain, bloating, nausea, vomiting, faecal incontinence and flatulence. Rare cases of allergic reactions have occurred; in these cases, discontinue use of the product and inform your doctor or pharmacist. If diarrhoea occurs, which generally disappears when treatment is stopped or the dose is reduced, it may be advisable to contact your doctor. If any of the side effects becomes serious or if you notice any side effects not mentioned in this leaflet, please inform your doctor or pharmacist.

Conservation
Store in the original packaging in a cool, dry place, out of the sight and reach of children.
The indicated expiration date refers to the product in intact packaging and stored correctly.
Do not use the product after the expiration date stated on the packaging.
Shelf life in intact packaging: 60 months.
