Injectable solution for use in folic acid deficiency states
Folic acid forte Hevert is suitable for the treatment of folic acid deficiency in dialysis patients when oral folic acid substitution is not possible and when sufficient efficacy cannot be achieved with the standard dosage.
Folic acid belongs to the group of B vitamins and is involved in many metabolic processes, such as protein metabolism and DNA metabolism.
A folic acid deficiency can be triggered by, for example, regular dialysis treatments, cancer medication, a diet low in vegetables, or chronic diarrhea. However, this deficiency can be quickly and effectively corrected using ampoules as a form of administration.
Note: Doses exceeding 5 mg of folic acid per day should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
