CoaguChek XS INR meter, Roche

CoaguChek systems are tools for professionals and patients involved in oral anticoagulant therapy with vitamin K antagonists. These devices measure thromboplastin time (prothrombin time, INR, %Quick value) using capillary fingertip blood or non-anticoagulated venous whole blood. IT connection to a PC or data management system is provided either with the CoaguChek XS Connect device on the patient's home computer or with the Handheld Base Unit (HBU) in professional environments.
CoaguChek XS is intended for patient self-testing and has the following benefits:

Small size, with 4 AAA batteries (flexibility of movement)
The measuring device can be held in the hand during measurements (e.g. to take a drop of blood from the finger)
The blood is applied to the test strip outside the measuring device, which minimizes the risk of contamination of the device with blood and facilitates the sample application process.
Fail-safe features that test all major components before displaying the INR result

Both CoaguChek XS and CoaguChek XS Plus use the same strip technology and unit of measurement - electrochemical test strip technology with:

Recombinant human tissue factor with IHI = 1.0 in full compliance with international indications and recommendations for low IHI.
Calibration according to WHO guidelines (very good compatibility with laboratory methods, e.g. Innovin)
Unique control for single-channel strips on board (OS2C): No more liquid controls are required, saving time and money.
Side and top fill dispensing: Increased comfort (fingertip, pipette).
