Description
Medical device.
Sterile gauze, impregnated with a lotion for daily hygiene of the eyelids in the presence of a Demodex infection.
It is recommended for:
- for daily hygiene of the eyelids in case of Demodex infection;
- to relieve symptoms of infection or inflammation of the eyelids (blepharitis) caused by Demodex.
BLEPHADEMODEX cleanses crusts, dandruff, impurities, and infectious agents on the eyelids and eyelashes. It improves symptoms related to Demodex infection, such as itching, burning, dryness, and inflammation of the eyelid margins. Eyelid redness and foreign body sensations are reduced.
Contains sodium hyaluronate, a natural moisturizing agent that soothes and regenerates sensitive skin.
The product has been tested under ophthalmological control.
Free from aggressive detergents and preservatives.

How to use
- Mild to moderate symptoms: Use once daily, preferably in the evening for 4 weeks.
- Moderate to severe symptoms: Use twice daily, morning and evening for 4 weeks.
The healthcare professional will be able to adapt the dosage and duration of treatment according to the severity of the symptoms.
As with other similar treatments, for blepharitis, the concomitant use of artificial tears should be recommended by healthcare professionals.
No special training is required to use BLEPHADEMODEX.
For contact lens wearers: remove lenses before using BLEPHADEMODEX.

Wash your hands thoroughly before using the gauze pads. Tear open the pouch and unfold the gauze inside; do not use any tools to open the pouch. Wrap the gauze around the top of your index finger. Keeping your eye closed, gently rub the gauze over your eyelids and the base of your eyelashes. Gently massage your eyelids using small circular motions, gently removing any crusts or discharge. Repeat on the other eye, using a new gauze pad. BLEPHADEMODEX is non-greasy and does not require rinsing after use. Keep your eye closed for 15 seconds after use.

Components
PEG-8, polysorbate 80, poloxamer 184, terpinen-4-ol, PEG-6 caprylic/capric glycerides macrogol 6 glycerol caprylocaprate, sodium hyaluronate, dibasic potassium phosphate, monobasic potassium phosphate, purified water.

Warnings
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Avoid getting BLEPHADEMODEX in your eyes; it may cause a burning sensation. If this happens, rinse with sterile water or saline solution.
Check that the package is intact before first use: use only if the sachet is unopened.
Do not use any gauze more than once, as it may not work as well and could cause contamination.
You should contact a healthcare provider if your symptoms worsen or do not improve.
Do not use BLEPHADEMODEX if you are allergic to any of its components.
In the absence of sufficient data, do not use BLEPHADEMODEX during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless prescribed by your doctor.
In the absence of sufficient data, do not use BLEPHADEMODEX in children unless prescribed by a doctor.
Possible side effects: Burning sensation after use. In such cases, contact lens wearers should remove their lenses. If you notice any side effects or unusual sensations after using this product, contact a healthcare professional and report the information to the local distributor, manufacturer, or local health authority.

Conservation
Store between 8°C and 25°C. Do not expose to direct light or moisture.
Discard the gauze immediately after use.
Do not use after the expiry date, which is shown on the sachet and outer packaging.
The expiry date refers to the last day of that month, provided the package is intact and has been stored correctly.
Shelf life in intact packaging: 24 months.
