Antispasmin, 20 tablets, Biofarm

Indications:
Antispasmin is indicated for use in adults, adolescents and children over 6 years of age.
Antispasmin is an antispasmodic drug.
Antispasmin is used to reduce pain caused by various colic (biliary, renal, bladder, pain during the menstrual cycle, uterine spasms), as an antispasmodic in various digestive diseases (stomach ulcer, gastritis, enteritis, spasms of the cardia and pylorus, irritable bowel syndrome, spastic colitis accompanied by constipation, bloating), headaches with a feeling of intracranial tension.

Composition:
- The active substance is drotaverine hydrochloride. Each capsule contains 40 mg drotaverine hydrochloride.
- The other ingredients are: capsule contents - lactose monohydrate, povidone, partially pregelatinized corn starch, alginic acid, talc, magnesium stearate; capsule - titanium dioxide (E 171), quinoline yellow (E 104), sunset yellow (E 110), gelatin, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate (E 218), n-propyl p-hydroxybenzoate (E 216).

Method of administration:
This medicine is available without a prescription. You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Adults, adolescents:
The recommended dose is 120-240 mg of drotaverine hydrochloride per day (3-6 Antispasmin tablets per day), divided into 2-3 doses.
Children over 6 years old:
The recommended dose is 80-200 mg of drotaverine hydrochloride per day (2-5 Antispasmin tablets per day), divided into 2-5 doses.
You should contact your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 3 days of treatment.
Children under 6 years of age:
Since no data are available on the safety and efficacy of administration, Antispasmin is not indicated in this age group.

Contraindications:
Do not use Antispasmin:
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to drotaverine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of Antispasmin;
- if you have serious liver, kidney or heart problems.

Precautions:
- if your doctor has told you that you have porphyria;
- if you have low blood pressure;
- if you use Antispasmin for a long time (your doctor may order an evaluation of your liver function).
Antispasmin is not recommended for children under 6 years of age, as no data on safety and efficacy are available in this age group.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
The use of Antispasmin during pregnancy requires caution.
It is not recommended to take Antispasmin during breastfeeding.

Driving and using machines:
If during treatment with Antispasmin you experience a feeling of lack of balance in space of the body or spinning of surrounding objects, it is necessary to avoid potentially dangerous activities, driving vehicles and using machinery.
