Description
Vigantol 20,000 IU is a medicine in the form of oral drops that contains the active substance - vitamin D (cholecalciferol), important in the process of bone formation.
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) can be supplied to the body with food or produced in the skin when exposed to UV radiation. Vitamin D deficiency causes bone calcification disorders (rickets) or loss of calcium from the bones (osteomalacia).
Vigantol 20,000 IU can be used to prevent rickets, osteomalacia and vitamin deficiencies and as an adjunct in the treatment of osteoporosis. The drug is suitable for newborns (including premature), children, adolescents, adults and the elderly. The vial of Vigantol 20000 IU is closed with a cap that includes a dropper for easy measurement of the recommended dose.
