Urinary tract infection is the most common disease of the urinary tract: the urethra, bladder, ureters and kidneys. Both men, women and children can have a urinary tract infection. Most people who suffer from urinary tract infections are women, due to the short urethra that favors the penetration of germs. However, older men are also affected if they have an enlarged prostate that prevents the elimination of urine. In healthy people, urine is sterile (does not contain microorganisms). One of the best ways to keep your urinary tract healthy is to completely empty your bladder at regular intervals. Generally, an infection begins in the urethra and can then spread to the upper urinary tract and up to the kidneys. Symptoms vary considerably: burning when urinating or the need to urinate frequently. The urine may also be cloudy and have an unpleasant odor.

Usage steps:
1. Collect the urine sample in a clean, dry container
2. Remove the test from the packaging without touching the test fields
3. Insert the test with the 4 fields into the urine sample
4. Read the result after 1 minute (for nitrites, protein and blood) or 2 minutes (for leukocytes)

If the result is negative:
Please note that a positive result does not necessarily mean that all four parameters are present in the urine. If the result is positive for only one, something is most likely wrong, even if the reason is not a urinary tract infection. Contact your doctor as soon as possible for an accurate diagnosis.
