Nutricia Neocate® Junior with a neutral flavor is a food for special medical purposes suitable for children over 1 year of age.

This powdered formula based on amino acids is nutritionally complete and hypoallergenic.

For:

• Cow's milk protein allergy
• Complex food protein intolerance
• Other conditions requiring an elemental diet.

Neocate® Junior is intended for dietary management, especially in cases of cow's milk protein allergy in children.

It can also be administered as medical nutrition for conditions requiring an elemental diet.

An elemental diet is a complete nutritional approach consisting of drinking balanced shakes prepared from ready-made formulas.

Neocate® Junior with a strawberry flavor contains all the necessary nutrients, including free amino acids in powdered form.

Due to its properties, it can be used, upon a doctor's recommendation, as a sole source of nutrition or as a dietary supplement.

How to use:

• Wash your hands thoroughly
• Always use clean containers to prepare food
• Measure the required volume of cold water and pour into the container
• Add the recommended number of scoops of powder to the water. Use only the measuring cup included in the package. Remove excess powder with a clean, dry knife. Do not tamp the powder in the measuring cup
• Close the container and shake until the powder dissolves
• Refrigerate the prepared product and use within 24 hours
• Shake or stir immediately before serving
• This product is best served chilled. Do not boil prepared food or reheat it in a microwave
• The amount of product to be consumed and the dilution must be determined by a doctor and depend on the patient's age, weight, and clinical condition.

Example serving sizes:

• 35 ml serving: 1 level scoop of powder (7.3 g) + 30 ml of water
• 105 ml serving: 3 level scoops of powder (21.9 g) + 90 ml of water; 350 ml serving: 10 level scoops of powder (73 g) + 300 ml of water
• The recommended concentration of 21.1% w/v (1 kcal/ml) is obtained by adding 1 level scoop of powder to every 30 ml of water.

Contraindications:

Do not use in infants under 1 year of age.

• Nutricia Neocate® Junior should be used under medical supervision. Your doctor may recommend a duration of use and a serving size tailored to your individual dietary needs
• This product is suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition or as a dietary supplement
• Nutricia Neocate® Junior is not intended for parenteral nutrition
• Before using this product, please read the recommended intake and directions for use on the packaging
• In cases of very severe allergies, the duration of use of Neocate® Junior may be extended to 24 months, or longer if the child's situation requires it
• Do not use in individuals without the above-mentioned medical conditions, health disorders, or if there are no medical indications for its use
• Store in a cool, dry place
• Tightly close the can with the lid after each use
• Use the powder within 1 month of first opening the can
• Incorrect preparation and storage may pose a risk to your child's health
• Do not cook the prepared meal
• Do not use a microwave oven to prepare or heat the meal.
