The natural process of extraction and total concentration of beta 1-3 and beta 1-6 polysaccharides, naturally associated with the other nutrients of this precious traditional mushroom, has allowed Holistica®, over the last 25 years, to be the first French laboratory, precursor and specialist in this field, to propose the quintessence of the shii-ta-ké mushroom. More than a dozen different origins were studied before selecting the strain with the best polysaccharide content.

Different strains intended mainly for the gastronomic use of this mushroom present rather variable characteristics, which do not always allow the desired standardization in alpha and beta polysaccharides. The development of the first shii-ta-ké extract, the authentic SHII-TA-KER HOLISTICA® formula, has made this product the reference precursor of Nutrition in Europe and North America since the early 1990s.
