Glycerolboraxaat kan op doktersadvies worden gebruikt bij aandoeningen zoals gingivitis, orale candidiasis, stomatitis en mondzweren. De samenstelling bestaat meestal uit 10% borax en glycerine.
Vrijgavemodellen
Glycerolboraxaat is meestal verkrijgbaar in flessen van 20-25 g - Glycerolboraxaat 10%. Er is ook de variant boraxglycerine met nystatine 1,5%, boraxglycerine met verdovingsmiddel 10% of boraxglycerine met propolis.
Inticaties voor gebruik
Glycerine is een natuurlijke verbinding die kan worden verkregen uit dierlijke vetten of plantaardige oliën zoals palm-, kokos- of sojaolie. Het kan ook synthetisch worden geproduceerd. Glycerolboraxaat werkt als ontsmettingsmiddel, schimmelwerend, antiseptisch en mild verdovingsmiddel. Het wordt voornamelijk gebruikt voor stomatitis en mondzweren.
Dosering en wijze van toepassing
Glycerolboraxaat wordt uitwendig gebruikt, in de vorm van mondspoeling of kauwgom. Na gebruik mag je minstens een half uur geen vloeistoffen of voedsel nuttigen.
Contra-indicaties
Er zijn enkele contra-indicaties voor glycerylboraxaat. Het product is gecontra-indiceerd in geval van allergie of overgevoeligheid voor een van de ingrediënten.
Interacties met andere geneesmiddelen en voedingsmiddelen
Er zijn geen interacties met andere geneesmiddelen of voedingsmiddelen bekend.
Bijwerkingen
Glycerylboraxaat voor spruw is over het algemeen veilig en er zijn geen bijwerkingen bekend.
Overdosering
Er zijn geen risico's bekend van een overdosis. Het is echter het beste om het te gebruiken zoals aanbevolen door uw arts of apotheker.
Bewaren

Wat is glycerine boraxaat met nystatine?
Dit type glycerine heeft een antiseptische, antimicrobiële en antibiotische werking bij de behandeling van spruw en orale mycosen. Het bevat meestal glycerine, 10% borax en 1,5% nystatine. Het wordt uitwendig aangebracht door ongeveer 4 - 5 keer per dag een verband aan te brengen.
Wat is glycerine borax met propolis?
Dit product wordt aanbevolen bij spruw, stomatitis, glossitis of gingivitis. Het wordt gebruikt bij lokale klachten voor de maaltijd gedurende minstens een half uur. Het werkt ontstekingsremmend, antiseptisch en verzachtend.
Glycerolboraxaat of Aftifix?
Beide producten zijn geschikt voor mondzweren, stomatitis en ontstekingen aan het tandvlees. Aftifix is een orale gel die hyaluronzuur, aloë-extract, salie-extract, nalba-extract en essentiële rozemarijnolie bevat. Het vormt een film op het mondslijmvlies, versnelt het natuurlijke genezingsproces van orale laesies, verzacht ontstekingen en hydrateert gevormde korsten.
Glycerolboraxaat of anaftin?
Zowel glycerolboraxaat voor mondzweren als Anaftin helpen bij mondzweren, aften en verwondingen in de mondholte. Anaftin bevat echter hyaluronzuur, aloë vera, ricinusolie en polyvinylpyrrolidon. Deze vormen een beschermende film en verlichten het ongemak.
Borax Glycerine of AftiBlock?
Beiden beschermen pijnlijke en geïrriteerde plekken en verlichten de pijn. Ze kunnen worden gebruikt voor mondzweren of doorligwonden. AftiBlock bevat propyleenglycol, panthenol, hydroxyethylcellulose en andere ingrediënten.
